Where It All Started
Malta Visual & Performing Arts (MVPA) is where my passion for programming ignited. During my secondary education here, I stumbled upon Java and immediately became hooked — spending lunch breaks and evenings learning the language independently through online tutorials and experimentation. Although, I had an incredible mentor who guided me through my first steps in programming.
My first ever program was a binary/hexadecimal/decimal converter: small by any measure, but the moment it worked I was completely sold on the idea of building things with software.
“MVPA wasn't a computing school — the programming was entirely self-driven. That early habit of self-directed learning has been one of the most valuable traits I've carried throughout my career.”
